iVF Riga Clinic offers a special infertility treatment programme – Embryo Adoption/Donation.
Embryo Adoption/Donation is infertility treatment using an embryo received from a donor egg and donor sperm. The results of this kind of infertility treatment are very high, because we use reproductive cells of young, healthy people. However, in order to increase the chance of pregnancy after the first embryo transfer, all embryos intended for adoption are checked for genetic abnormalities using PGT-A method before transferring. PGT-A (Preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy) makes it possible to examine the entire set of chromosomes of the embryo before embryo transfer and exclude not only diseases such as Down's syndrome, Edwards' syndrome and Patau's syndrome, but also other rare variants.
iVF Riga opened the only genetic centre in Latvia, which performs preimplantation genetic testing on site, at our own laboratory. We perform PGT-A and PGT-M testing also for other Latvian and foreign clinics. Our patient coordinators will provide you with full support by phone or email before and after your IVF treatment cycle.
We can offer Embryo Adoption/Donation for couples with diagnosis of infertility in cases when their reproductive cells cannot be used for artificial insemination and also for single women.
