Egg donation

What is egg donation?

Egg donation is an anonymous and altruistic programme for women who have been diagnosed with infertility and are dreaming of having a baby. In the programme, one woman (donor) selflessly donates her eggs to another woman (recipient). Artificial insemination with donor eggs is one of the most successful methods of infertility treatment, because genetic material of healthy and young people is used. In the cycle of artificial insemination with donor eggs, the recipient is implanted an embryo in the uterine cavity; the embryo is developed by donor eggs fertilized with partner sperm.

Egg Donation Programme

Clinic iVF Riga offers Egg Donation Programme with a donor who will be selected specially for you taking into account your personal criteria and wishes. We will help you to find the most suitable donor to ensure the best outcome.

iVF Riga is the only clinic in Latvia performing PGT also in Donor cycles!

We check embryos for genetic health (PGT-A method) even if using donor oocytes for the treatment. This helps us to exclude miscarriage and gain positive pregnancy result and progressing pregnancy after the first embryo transfer.

According to our statistics, patients in the age group up to 50 years achieve positive results in 85% of cases after treatment using donor eggs with a genetically tested embryo.

We know that participation in the Egg Donation Programme is not an easy decision for the patients. Each patient has very personal criteria when choosing an egg donor. We carefully select donors for each individual recipient in line with their personal preferences. Our donors undergo comprehensive medical, psychiatric and genetic screening. We do not have any waiting list.

To support you during your journey, our Donor Programme patient coordinators will be with you throughout your entire way, from finding an egg donor to embryo transfer and pregnancy.
